The story begins with Coriolanus being chosen as a mentor for the tributes from District 12. He is paired with Lucy Gray Baird, a talented singer from the district. Coriolanus is initially dismissive of Lucy Gray, but he soon realizes that she is a force to be reckoned with. As they prepare for the Hunger Games, Coriolanus and Lucy Gray develop a complicated relationship that is both romantic and manipulative.

The Hunger Games themselves are brutal and bloody, as always. The tributes are forced to fight to the death in an arena filled with deadly traps and obstacles. Coriolanus is determined to help Lucy Gray win the games, but he soon realizes that he is not the only one with an agenda. The Capitol is using the games to test a new weapon, and the tributes are nothing more than guinea pigs.

As the story unfolds, Coriolanus becomes increasingly disillusioned with the Capitol and its cruel ways. He begins to question his own loyalty to the regime, and he starts to see the tributes as more than just pawns in a game. He also becomes more and more entangled with Lucy Gray, who is a complex and enigmatic character.

One of the strengths of the audiobook is the way it explores the character of Coriolanus Snow. In the Hunger Games trilogy, Snow is the villain, a ruthless dictator who is responsible for the deaths of countless people. In The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, we see a different side of Snow. He is still ambitious and calculating, but he is also vulnerable and conflicted. We see him struggling with his conscience, and we see him making choices that will shape his future.

Looking for audiobooks online for free? There are a wide variety of reasons that reading or holding print books might be difficult. Dyslexia, chronic conditions like ME, even depression can make it almost impossible to access the joy and escapism of books.

We believe that cost shouldn't be a barrier to accessing audiobooks, which is why we run a sponsored membership scheme for those that find our annual membership cost prohibitive. Our free memberships are funded with the kind support of charitable trusts and companies, and enable us to provide a full year's membership to our service.

When you apply for a free membership we ask for a self-declaration that our standard annual membership cost of 20 per year would be a barrier to joining. We take this on trust and don't ask for financial proof of this - there are enough forms to fill out in life!

If you are actively using your membership (this just means by borrowing audiobooks from us) your membership will roll over, year on year, unless you decide to cancel, and will remain free subject to funding.

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

The same - I was listening to an audio book and waited the days for the next month and the next release of 15 hours and now it is locked? Please advise Spotify? I am the primary user - I had access and now it is locked - it doesnt give the normal message to say I have used my hours??

So what I am understanding, Eni, is that what was once included as the account holder in Spotify Premium Plans can be taken away as a bait-and-switch. Essentially, you begin listening to an audiobook or language app such as Pimsleur Italian, and then it gets locked on you at some point before your monthly allotment is used up (potentially). Then, you must pay an additional $119 to get Pimsleur (Italian), which Spotify offers in your Premium Plan. It makes it challenging to begin an unlocked version that potentially may be locked at any point once beginning an audiobook. Unfortunately, I returned to start my language app this morning, and Spotify locked it. I will need to go to Hoopla and Libby for audiobooks, as they are free apps available through online public libraries. Thank you for the link, as it was both confusing and frustrating to find out why it suddenly became locked.

Our Libguides system is provided by a company called Springshare, who offer all kinds of library related software to help us run our services. As well as providing great software they also flag interesting library related websites, and today they introduced us to whichbook - and we love it!

As well as highlighting the books, the site also flags where you can buy (via Amazon) or borrow the books through the public library service. If you have joined Devon Libraries, choose that option from the menu to see if the book you are interested in is available there - in print or as an ebook or audiobook. if you belong to any other 'local to you' library services, you can try those too.

Following your feedback on the study space booking system we have launched a new system which will allow you to book flexible time slots & to self-check-in and check-out. It supports study spaces across our Streatham and St Luke's campuses.
