Null pixel data tag after sending

Hi all,
I'm on windowws, python 2.7, pynetdicom 0.8.1 and both pydicom 0.9.9 and 1.

I'm using the example on the webpage to send a dicom file to a dicom server.
The file is sent and stored on the server, but the pixel data tag is NULL (the other tags are ok).

Any idea?
