Hi all, I am determining physical conditions in a planetary nebula but my data lacks sufficient information for temperature estimation. I have the following lines identified, any suggestions?
[OIII] 4948, 5007
[OI] 6301
[NII] 6547, 6583
[SII] 6716, 6731
He II 4684
Ha
Hb
Thanks in advance

Hi,
There is no diagnostic in the line ratio you have to determine the electron temperature. And then no abundance determination is available. The strong line method used in HII region is not usable in this case of a PN. I'm afraid there is nothing you can do with this small number of observables.
