Howdy,
Hopefully this is due to some small oversight on my part, but I am having difficulty running the installation script setup.py. I believe that I managed to get my c and c++ compilers properly recognized as well as nmake and other build tools. Even after sorting that, though, I am getting a CMake Error at build/CMakeFiles/3.27.7/CMakeCCompiler.cmake. The error claims to be a parse error due to an unmatched bracket, but I checked the relevant file and there are no unmatched brackets.
I know that cmake can have issues sometimes with whitespace and brackets; it also gives many warnings about this saying "Argument was not separated from preceding token by whitespace." but I don't think this is the issue either. I modified all of the set arguments to include white space buffering the parentheses. Oddly, it still gives the warnings and error even after making these adjustments.
In principle, I would go back "up" the compile chain and inspect the preceding files but I am very novice at cmake and would probably not have much luck with this. I would appreciate any thoughts.
