Hello, I am writing to you because I need to know how can I read .nas files with a python, I already downloaded the library but I have serious problems to read my .nas data because I don't know how to use it in my python script, after that I need to convert this data in .nc.

Thanks for your help

Lisbeth

Lisbeth,

Sorry, I'm not familiar with .nas or .nc format.  I'm assuming the files are just a bdf (executive control deck, case control deck, bulk data deck) or pch (bulk data deck only), so you'd use the read_bdf method with punch=True/False.  What are you actually trying to do with the script?

I believe .nas is just another extension for a Bulk Data File. You should use pyNastran for a .nas the same as for a .bdf.
