Active Project?

I am confused by the message flow here. Is this project still maintained or not? Is there something else I should be using? Aside from SQL alchemy that is. Alchemy is a whole lot of stuff to weight a simple project down.

It seems it is still maintained. The latest version on https://pypi.org/
project/pymssql/ is 2020-09-17

https://github.com/pymssql/pymssql also appears active. The release on 09-17
includes the point "Revert deprecation." So it appears somebody has picked up
the torch and is going forward with it.
