Mr. Danish Khan,

Thank you for contacting me. I am sorry you are having trouble installing PyMKS. There is currently an issue with NumPy versions 1.10.x and the Scikit-Learn which is likely the problem.

Which versions of NumPy did you try?

I would recommend opening the Anaconda Command Prompt and installing NumPy 1.9.2 with the following command.

conda install numpy=1.9.2

Once this version is installed try and run the tests again.

Thanks,

David

Hi Mr. David Brough,

I am interested in exploring PyMKS for some microstructure-property  studies. Currently, I am facing some issues with installation and testing of PyMKS. I tried mailing to the email id "pymks-...@googlegroups.com", however delivery to this email failed. So I took the liberty to write to you directly. Requesting for some help from you. The problem is as follows:

I am installing PyMKS on Windows 7 (64 bit) on Anaconda Python Distribution-2.7 64 Bit. I installed latest Anaconda and tried to install PyMKS over it. The installation got completed but there is some issues while testing the installation using " python -c "import pymks; pymks.test()"". While testing it I got the following error:  "Value Error: numpy.dtype has the wrong size, try recompiling". I googled for this error and found that it mostly happens due to wrong numpy version. So I decided to upgrade the numpy version to latest one (which was downgraded by the PyMKS installer). After doing so, I started getting another error :
"from . import iterative
ImportError: DLL load failed: the specified module could not be found"
I tried to search for this error too, but it appears it happens due to mismatch of version (32bit vs 64 bit). But I have installed the correct version (64 bit ) python.

It will be great if you can help me with the installation. Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks & Regards
Danish Khan
