That's a long subject line!

I have a script that processes audio records.  The output from that pymarc script looks fine:

=700 1$aGoer, Sarah Beth,$enarrator
=511 0\$aRead by Sarah Beth Goer

But when I import the files into Polaris I get:

700 1 ‡?oer, Sarah Beth,‡enarrator

I'm guessing this is an encoding issue?  The files are in latin-1.  Any help would be much, much appreciated!

Christine,

The display of the 700 field from pymarc looks off; is it missing an indicator? The $ looks to be printing where you'd expect indicator2 (or a \ if it's blank).

(make sure a string for a blank indicator is " " with a space, not "").
