As you've probably already seen, Google Code is shutting down: http://google-opensource.blogspot.com/2015/03/farewell-to-google-code.html

I already have an unofficial mirror on Github but since I've been out of Mac administration for a few years, I was thinking it would be a good idea to set up a PyMacAdmin organization which I could transfer ownership to.

If I were to do that, is anyone interested in taking over project stewardship?

Thanks,
Chris

I suspect everyone else is filtering this mail away like I was... :D

Likely, yes. I'm choosing to interpret this as carte blanche to move this over.

I just created https://github.com/MacSysadmin to hold this project.

We're still using crankd, so I'd be happy to take over.

Is it worth just making crankd into a project? Might help visibility/patches?

I think so – Python package installation has gotten so much easier over the years that there's probably negative benefit to having one big project.

One word: YES!

More words: Please? Still today so many years later there's nothing quite like it. I know not many agree with me on this but crankd as an idea and abstraction would work equally well on Linux ;-)

yeah, I reckon we move it to a dedicated repo, and then you might get bug fixes from people outside Google Clay :)

(Google Clay sounds like the worst product ever)
