why?
The /project and /wiki pages are served via Trac under Fast CGI, vs
the rest of the PylonsHQ site which runs in its own Pylons process.
Trac also is retrieving lots of various information and formatting
it, perhaps its not caching it, I'm not sure as I haven't looked into
Trac's code-base. Also, depending on what country you're in, and
other various network tidbits, response times vary.
What I've been noticing off and on, is that Google's web traffic
tracking script is causing the page to load significantly longer on
occasion as their site doesn't seem to be responding very fast on
occasion. While I rather like Google Analytics, this issue does
concern me, and is apparently why the company I'm at (O'Reilly)
stopped using it as well.
