Design/Support question : Is there a relationship between IPV6 support in v 1.0 and python 2.6 Deprecation ??

New to waitress.

I've been using paste server and encountered problems with IPV6 support.

Unfortunately i didn't find much in terms of a fix/work around.

I did find waitress though, but then realized the Python version 2.6 was deprecated in the new version where IPV6 support was introduced

Could anyone shed some light on this?

Basically the approach, how is the socket able to handle traffic from the 2  address family ?

Python 2.6 was end-of-life in 2013. All Pylons projects have been dropping support for it to ease the migration to 3.x codebases. You should upgrade. https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0361/

If you choose to upgrade to 2.7 and are still having issues with IPv6 on the latest waitress release you should post some more detailed information on the issues you are seeing in that supported environment.
