Generation of laserbeam kvec in arbitrary direction

Hi,

I am exploring this brilliantly written Python package pylcp and trying to learn how to make changes in the program to use it for my requirements. can anyone give me any suggestions for generating MOT beams(Laserbeam kvec) in any arbitrary directions (trying to generate a force profile for tetrahedral MOT geometry)?
