retrieve "all" tags from last.fm

Hi,
does anyone know whether there is a way to get "all" tags, songs or
artists from last.fm - ie. as many as possible :) ?
i tried the chart.getTopTags first. But it seems as if they are
restricted to a certain amount of items? (1000 topTracks, 250 topTags)

is there a simple way to avoid that restriction?
