Where can I find an online anti-virus that doesn't install on your PC?

I've got 5 PCs that I'm trying to use to train disadvantaged young
people. The problem is they are riddled with viruses and a firewall
blocks me from updating them. The people in charge of maintaining the
PCs won't fix them or give me the admin password (Win XP) to let me
install a new or updated antivirus the centre is being shut down in a
few months.

If they were working, I could still do a lot with them, so I've been
looking for a good online virus scan - but they all try to download a
little .exe onto your PC first, and the settings on the PCs won't
allow that.

Suggestions? Solutions? Links?

Do your students absolutely need to run Windows? These days, you can
get "live CDs". You insert the CD and boot the computer. The computer
runs off the CD, ignoring the hard drive (except possibly to save
files and preferences). You generally don't need any help or
cooperation from the administrators.

There's just two potentially big problems: (1) Some administrators
will forbid this for sociological reasons. (2) The computer is running
Linux instead of Windows.

There's nothing you can do if your administrator just forbids this
activity. They have full authority over the computers; they even have
the right to demand that the computers never be plugged into an
electrical outlet.

You can do something about not having Windows. There's lots of
software you can run on Linux (even office software), but you can't
run software that is Windows-only or Windows/Mac-only, such as
Microsoft Office. The problem is that you have lots of homework to do
on your own. You might appeal to various Linux groups for assistance.
(Not my area.)

Finally, note that one of those Live CDs (Knoppix) is purported to be
able to run a virus scan against a Windows hard disk.
