A reminder that PHEP-1, the proposed means of making collective PyHC
decisions, is up on GitHub for review and input:
https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/pull/22

Yesterday I pushed an updated version with lots of input from Shawn and
Nick (thanks!). At this point significant structural change is unlikely
unless someone takes action to object. So if you're at all interested in
PyHC governance / collective decision making / how things might get
forced on your packages ;) please do take a look and comment.
Eventually (probably a week or two) I'll take my best stab at resolving
open items but I really do want to hear from the community on this.  AGU
seems a reasonable target to be converging towards consensus.

Thanks!

After our discussions on the telecon today I've made further changes
which are available in the same PR:
https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/pull/22

I've also extended a particular invitation to the core packages for
their input. If you have interest in how PyHC sets its direction, now's
the time to speak up.

Substantial new updates from the immutability discussion, updates in the
same place: https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/pull/22

Since we're coming up on one month from the spring meeting, this is the
formal notice the first vote on PHEP-1 is scheduled for the spring
meeting (it went on the agenda* a little while ago). Although there will
be time for discussion there, the sooner comments come in, the sooner we
can address them, and the longer people will have to evaluate a
proposed-final version before voting. That's
https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/pull/22 ...and the last on
the topic from me for awhile :)

PHEP-1 passed initial vote at the spring meeting:

Second vote will be on PyHC telecon on April 15; if it passes there, it
will come into effect.
