PyHC telecon this coming Monday, Sep 23rd

Hello everyone,
A reminder that we’ll have a PyHC telecon this coming Monday, September 23rd at the usual 9 AM MT | 11 AM ET | 15 UTC timeslot. This telecon is reserved for discussing the current PHEP proposals, as well as existing issues, in the standards repo. If you’re spearheading any of those efforts, please plan to attend and give a short overview of where your work is at. For everyone else, especially those with PyHC packages, I encourage you to attend and give your thoughts and feedback.

Recording from Monday’s telecon is up on the PyHC YouTube channel.

- Issues and PRs to be discussed in further detail at the upcoming PyHC fall meeting (be sure to register for that soon!)
- If you want in on the discussion, being a part of improving upon submitted PHEPs/crafting new ones based on issues, and VOTING, please be sure to attend! This meeting is hybrid – at LASP and online on Zoom.
- Two new issues added from the discussion
- CommonMark in PHEPs, https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/issues/38
- Explicitly replacing the standards document with a new summary, https://github.com/heliophysicsPy/standards/issues/39
- Initial votes on PHEPs at the PyHC Fall 2024 meeting
- PHEP 3 (PyHC Python & upstream package support policy), PHEP 4 (PyHC Package Tiering), and PHEP 5 (PyHC standardization for Python time objects)
- Final vote on PHEP 2 (PHEP template) at the PyHC Fall 2024 meeting
