How to taylor visualizations like Gephi Force Atlas ?

Hi all,

Intro
Iam working on agents in complex networks simulation. Although visualization is very important, for pratical purposes we are resorting to the option of NO digging in the visualization literature right now.

Questions
Is there any python script, using pygraphvix, able to do things like the Gephi Force Atlas layout ?
Is there any reference, beside the tutorial and documentation, to systematic forge pygraphviz scripts that can handle the job of the Gephi Force Atlas layout ?

I beg you pardon if you think that there is better layouts than Force Atlas, but this is the better that i have seen up to now.
