Hello,
I have been evaluating the pygr project to do some large-scale
sequence analysis (we have 50-100 illumina runs we are analyzing) and
right now I am using a grid with Sun Grid Engine (SGE). I noticed you
do have a coordinator module for running many tasks in parallel. Has
anyone done this on top of SGE?

Not that I'm aware of. I used the coordinator module for running jobs over ssh a long time ago, but you're the first person to have asked about using it.
