Login Fails

I've cloned the latest source tree from:  https://code.google.com/p/pygooglevoice/ and I've tried both the sms.py under the examples folder and the 

CLI gvoice command and I can't seem to login either via a standard goolge account or via a Google hosted domain (ie user at mydomain dot com).

Have there been some changes that google made that renders this "API" to be breaking?
