What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Launch IDLE
2. import pyglet

That's unusual for a such a new graphics card. The list of known cards
that exhibit
this problem is here: http://groups.google.com/group/pyglet-users/web/faq.
Make sure
you've installed the most recent video driver available.

Running the latest Catalyst 8.9 drivers on the ATI card-- is there any other
information that might be of help to try and resolve this? Would love to
be able to
play and learn with Pyglet on my home machine. (Running a different ATI
card with
Catalyst 8.9 at work with no problems)

Nothing comes to mind sorry.

With some restrictions, you will be able to use pyglet by setting the
environment variable
PYGLET_SHADOW_WINDOW to 0.
