hi,
I start to develop anther library for libav(ffmpeg).
not using ffmpeg's internal API but only command options and pipes.
It aims more version/family/license free, so it demands only 3-BSD.
currently, it can get metadata from ffmpeg and a video file.
pipeffmpeg to pyffmpeg rather than compete with,
which complement each other, I think.
