Hi,
I'm Gianluigi Tiesi,
I have a good skills in python and c programming, some basic c++.
I'm interested to having a complete support (also for encoding) like
pymedia,
but pymedia is a bit outdated and difficult to build with new
distributions

I can work on linux 32bit and preferably 64bit (I don't have many
boxes with 32bit linux)
I also maintain ffmpeg win32 builds that are widely used:
http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php

I don't known much about ffmpeg internals, but at least I known
globally the code
since making win32 builds of ffmpeg and mplayer is not always easy :)
and without
patching something

Best Regards

Hi, I've integrated full path patch, and made a setup.py compatible
with linux and mingw (static or dynamic ffmpeg)

paths are hardcoded
/opt/ffmpeg on unix but no problem if ffmpeg is in /usr
c:\ffmpeg-static on win
maybe they can be handled in a more smart way

looks like there are some issues on win32, often it says it cannot
find frame, or unable to play video with the test player
