On behalf of the pydicom contributors, I'm pleased to announce that pydicom 2.3.0 is now available.  

Some of the updates include:

  • updated DICOM dictionary (2022a), private dictionaries, and UIDs for Storage SOP classes

  • further enhancements for dealing with some compressed types and color conversion

  • a new settings class with new configuration options and migration of some previous config options

There were many bug fixes and other changes; see the release notes for full details of changes, additions, and bug fixes.
