Hello,

I've read through the pyPhotometry paper, and had a question about it.

I would like to know whether  Fiber Photometry Console(Doric) is suitable for pyPhotometry. The Photoreciever which is mentioned in the paper is Newport 2151, but it seems that Doric has launched Basic Fiber Photometry System with Fiber Photometry Console  instead of Newport 2151 .

best,
Jun-Xaun

Hi Jun-Xaun,

I realised I replied to to your email but not to the group so am posting the answer here in case its useful to others.

The pyPhotometry board replaces both the Fiber Photometry Console and LED driver in the Doric system.  I have added an updated list of components to the docs here, for a system which uses the newer Doric minicube with integrated LEDs and photodetectors with a pyPhotometry board.  I have not tested this system myself but people have used similar systems with pyPhotometry successfully.

best,

Thomas

Thanks for your reply.  I benefited a lot from it.
