Hi folks,

Today we have received another proposal from the KR team to host PyCon APAC 2024. Currently, we have two proposals: ID and KR.

From our original plan, we wanted to close accepting proposals on Oct 2 2023, but with the proposal from the KR team, I would like to make this the final call for any other community members who want to host PyCon APAC 2024. We'll wait until Sept 22 for anyone else who wants to send in a proposal.

If you're interested, you don't have to have a complete proposal ready: All you have to do is reply to this email saying that your community is interested and we'll figure out a timeline to allow for you to prepare your proposal. If we do not get any intent of interest by Sept 22 23:59 AOE, we'll consider only these 2 proposals from ID and KR to be voted upon.

On these 2 proposals, I have started issues on GitHub for ID here and for KR here for you to send in your comments and questions so the organizers can reply to them in an organized way. Links to the proposals are in those Issues.

Looking forward to comments and questions from everyone!

Hello folks,

A friendly reminder that we'll be closing the CfP to host PyCon APAC 2024 tonight (2023-09-23) at 9PM JST time.

Have you also read the proposals from ID and KR?
They are here:

Folks,

Since we didn't have any other interested parties in hosting PyCon APAC 2024, I would like to make it official that our candidate communities to host PyCon APAC 2024 are ID and KR.
We'll give some more time for discussion and then move on to voting. Hopefully, we can decide on a host community when we have PyCon APAC 2023 in Tokyo.
