Hi everyone!

In my recent work i'm using  pycloudy to model a nebula with dust, for this reason i need to include different grains in a different proportion. For example, the lines that i use are:
c_input.set_grains("0.001'silicate_0o01-0o08m_10.opc'")
c_input.set_grains("0.23'silicate_0o1-0o2m_10.opc'")
but because the coefficient could be more than 1, i wonder what is the real meaning of this number.

Thank you

Hi Gabriel,
This command only send to the Cloudy input file the text you put between quotes. pyCloudy itself is not computing the nebula with the dust, Cloudy does it.
The best to understand what it does is to look at Hazy, the Cloudy manual, then test yourself by changing the parameters and check what information is given in the Cloudy output file, especially when looking for the dust/gas ratio, and finally ask in the Cloudy user group for more information.
Hope it helps,
Cheers,
Christophe
