Fixing wrong coordinates of old NEXRAD files

Hi!
Concerning old NEXRAD files, at least for the radar station I'm plotting, I find that the radar coordinates are wrongly set to 0 degrees latitude and longitude. Since I'm plotting it on a cartopy map, I would like the land areas to be visible on the plot. Manually changing the coordinates does not help either. Is there a way to fix this?

UserWarning: No MSG5 detected. Setting to meaningless data. Rethink your life choices and be ready for errors.Specifically fixed angle data will be missing warnings.warn("No MSG5 detected. Setting to meaningless data. " UserWarning: Gate spacing is not constant, interpolating data in scans [0, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10] for moment REF.
