Hi Robin,

May I ask one question? For the py6S outputs, which parameter is for the sunglint reflectance if there is?

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Mengmeng.

Hi,

I don't believe the sunglint reflectance is available as an output of the underlying 6S model.

Hi Robin,

Thank you very much for your reply. I got it.

In addtion, may I ask some questions about the py6S outputs?
My questions are: 1) What is the difference between reflectance_I and polarized_reflectance? I want to use the simulated rayleigh reflectance, so which one represents the rayleight reflectance? 2) Which outputs represent the direct transmittance and total transmittance (direct and diffuse)?

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Mengmeng.

Hi,

I only wrote the Py6S interface, so for detailed questions on the 6S outputs I suggest reading the 6S manual or contacting the 6S authors directly.

I have almost zero knowledge of polarized reflectance measurements, so I'm afraid I can't answer your first question.

To get the total transmittance you can multiply the global gas transmittance by the total scattering transmittance.

I'm afraid I can't help much more than that - hopefully the 6S manual will give you more help,
