Hello All,

I am planning to rewrite an old web2py app running on PythonAnywhere to py4web and hoping to use Claude to help with this.

I notice that several people (including Massimo) are now using Claude and I wondered whether there could be some guidance on good practice etc? For example I found that Claude often referred to older versions of py4web and needed to be persuaded to use the current version - maybe this and other standard instructions could go into a Claude.md file or something similar?

Ask Claude to read the attached file. It will help it.

Dear Massimo,
The MIGRATION.md file references the CLAUDE.md file; please send this file as well.

Thank you

Thank you Massimo - that looks very comprehensive and helpful!

I see that it says "Read it together with CLAUDE.md (py4web conventions)" - would it be possible to have a copy of these conventions as well?

What saved some time, because I had many db changes: have claude build a an instant, temp ER diagram for anything, even results on the view output, then on the ERD tell claude to highlight any exact string matches the way Notepad++ does when you double click on it to make it easier to trace the joins.

Having claude is like Christmas every day; it found a $3k tax mistake my accountant made that will be reimbursed to me, but claude still forgets and strays from the .md so I have to verify compliance often.
