No auth menu in scaffolding app

I think that there is some issue about the default authentication menu in the scaffolding app at the last framework update. If you load the welcome/index page, there is no menu shown. Am I missing something. The app's code seems that has enabled by default the auth logic so I would expect to see the widget/menu when loading.

Looks like somehow the login or register logic in the docs was mistakenly cleaned from the scaffolding app's layout.html

BTW: the link in the upper left corner that should redirect to db admin points to the current page
