matplotlib is great for making plots of your data in a few lines of
code. I�ll share with you some tips I�ve developed over the years about
how to efficiently go from those few lines into what is needed later in
the publication cycle. This includes simplifying what is drawn, saving
plots with mixed vector and raster data, and post-drawing composition
