Hi, some time ago we talked about that it's unfortunate that the name py2js is so overloaded( pjs py2js.. and all wariants ). I'm also concerned that we will encage us the same way pyjamas have done, that we only produce output for web pages. but what we actualy are producing is not javascript( which is a trademark of Oracle) but ECMAScript.

If we switch domain( or atleas understand what domain we actualy belong to) we have a bigger audience. For an example ActionScript, also known as the programinglanguage of Flash.

So what name should we pick if we rename the project...? I don't know.

I just think it should reflect that we dont only do webpages but also ohter platforms.

Hello,

unfortunately, Javascript is the only name developers remembers,
nobody says "I'm coding in ECMAScript" partly because of the PCMCIA
effect ("People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms").

I've found your project in google using the search query term :
"py2js". This name is not that bad. It's clear what this tool do.

Regards,
Jérôme.

Indeed, py2js is a good name, so we'll stay with it.
