Hi Everyone— I’m trying to get my new M1 MacBook Pro to work with my Bruker IIIV+. My Trendnet TU-S9 USB-serial adapter appears to be incompatible with Windows 11. I have spoken to Trendnet and even the more updated versions of their TU-S9 hardware are not compatible with Windows 11.

S1pxrf and ARTAX software is all working, it’s just the serial-USB adapter that seems to not be working.

I have to use Windows 11 because that’s the only Windows version compatible with Parallels 18 ARM edition.

Is anyone successfully using a serial-USB adapter with Windows 11? Please share.

Thanks,
Gawain

Hi Gawain,

This is not unheard of. Windows 10 and 11 tend to auto-install the latest drivers for things, including the drivers for the USB-Serial cable.  The workaround is to install an older version of the driver. If you have the original driver given to you from Bruker, install that over the current driver and it should slove your problem.

Good luck,

Reach out if you need a copy of the driver, I should be able to track one down.
