XRF User Training Classes

Good Morning,

Can anyone recommend a XRF users training class that's currently available/ will be available? My colleagues and I are capable with basic usage of our Tracer Vi but we would like to become more competent with our instrument and the data it provides (analyzing and interpreting spectra, alloy compositions, etc.) Any and all recommendations are much appreciated.

Hi Beth, in-person workshops are great, but you can also try out this book and use it to have your own internal workshop. It has a lot of exercises and explains a lot of fundamental principles very well.

Sorry for the intervention, but i noticed your discussion and i would like to express my interest. I currently do my PhD and i use a tracer 5i, also i know that here in Greece there is a growing community of users.

Since i am not able to organise such a school and invite you Dr. Kaiser i would be glad if could attend any organised zoom session.

So, please consider sharing any information of online events.

Hi Bruce

I'd love to attend a session! As I'm in Scotland I imagine remote zoom is best.  I'm working with pigments and pottery mainly but very interested to hear more about the many other uses pXRF can be suited to. It sounds like such a session would have very wide interest in the group, could you possibly consider something via zoom we can all participate in? Depending on time zones perhaps it could be recorded for those who can't easily attend.
