artax not loading please help!

Hi all,

I am wanting to run Artax for data analysis without the pXRF device attached. However Artax will not load on my laptop computer (Lenovo brand), with the loading screen just sitting there and eventually greying out (screenshot attached) until the computer asks whether I want to close the program or wait for the program to respond. If I choose the latter, it will continue to sit the for an indefinite amount of time.

At the risk of sounding like a helpdesk person... have you uninstalled and reinstalled? I had to reinstall on mine before it would work.
