Hi folks,
I think I have a computer/software compatibility
problem. Harvard doesn't support the operating system of the HP laptop
that came from Bruker with our analyzer (Windows Vista). I would ideally
like to run the S1PXRF software on a computer connected to our intranet
that gets regular backups, but I can't connect this HP laptop because
Vista isn't supported. They are willing to install Harvard's security
protocols, but they have to strip it down and reinstall everything. I'm
ok with that if I can run the software on another laptop as a backup,
but I haven't been able to do this successfully.
I installed the new SPX1 software on my Dell laptop (running Windows XP Professional), but I
keep getting an error message when I try to set up and run the analyzer.
When I click on the red button to turn it green I get this message.
"Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set"
When I hit the OK button, the program closes.
Any suggestions? Is it that our operating system is just too old?
