Sunday Afternoon at Jones State Forest

Me and 22LR (my daughter) decided on a whim that we were going to
spend the afternoon at Jones State Forest. Mrs. Loner556 had to work
and it's been several months since 22LR and I went hiking. (Last one
was my Burroughs Park post)

As soon as 22LR woke from her afternoon slumber, we loaded up the Jeep
and headed out . With promises of trees, fish and water; she was
primed to go. A short drive to Jones SF and we were on the Middle
Lake Park trail head (the dissapointingly short walk back to middle
lake).

We made it unscathed. Note 22LR's enthusiasm in escaping my grip so
she could head back to water's edge.

It was a great afternoon. We saw a turkey on the way in (I was too
slow on the camera to get a pic), a bullfrog, minnows, a dragonfly and
of course, trees and water. 22LR and dad had a great time.
