you'll want to look at creating a custom Windows "Credential Provider"  --  http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6228499/documentation-for-creating-a-custom-credential-provider-in-windows  is a starting point.   This article has some good examples:  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4057

Hi,

In my readings I understood that credential provider is the replacement of MSGINA in Windows Wista Machines.

I am using Windows 7/Windows server 2008 R2.

Please help me out to add pwm Password reset as option in Ctrl+Alt+Delete Screen.

Thanks.

It is not *just* for Vista...   CP is used in Win7 and onwards as well.   Maybe also take a look at http://pgina.org (I have not used this... but looks like it might make your life a little easier)
