Alternative email address

Hello.
I'm trying PWM to deploy it in my organizzation. I was wondering if
PWM can be configured to register for every users an alternative email
address different from which
they have in our organizzation. In other words, our goal is to
configure PWM so that a user can update his profile by entering an
alternate email address to use
for forgotten password process. We need to integrate in PWM password
management the recovery of mail account, so we have to register an
alternative email address
to send, for example, token code and other comunications in case of
forgotten password.

Hi Walter,

This is exactly what I had to do the first time I had to deploy IIQ. It is quite simple actually. You can define another attribute that contains the alternate address. Then you're done, actually. In the configuration editor, go to View --> Advanced Settings. Then go to Settings --> Email and change the value of "User Email attribute". There's also the option to use SMS, or both.

Thank so much for your reply, Menno.
Few week ago, I had deployed PWM for an integrated web platform in
which users use institutional email address. So, "User Email
attribute" was configured on Ldap attribute (mail) in which is stored
their email address. In this case, PWM is used to reset password for
 web portal applications. Now, as I wrote in my first post,  I want to
extend the use of PWM to all our system (included mail system) in
order to implement a SSO access to all services. To do this, I have to
add an alternative mail address attribute to our OpenLDAP directory
and configure PWM as you suggested me.
