How to reset/recover Configuration Editor Password (Admin/Root)

Wondering if there's anyway to reset or recover Configuration Editor Password.
Either my search skills are bad or no one faced this issue before. Couldn't find any post related to this.

Read the contents of the PwmConfiguration.xml file, and remove the password hash property.

Thank you for the response Jason.
I'm sure it's exhausting and tiring to respond to awful lot of repetitive questions in the group in detail.
Unfortunately when I remove the line it complained that there's not password property.

Is it possible to explain in more detail how I go about recover or resetting the admin password?

Did you set configIsEditable to true?  Once you do that you can access the configeditor without a password...  depending on version...

Otherwise you can create a new setting file and copy/paste the non-encrypted settings over..
