"New password is too obvious"

I am unable to change a password through the Helpdesk Module because it reports that "New password is too obvious".  the password I am trying to set is Welcome1.  

I have disabled "enable word list" so that it would not use any dictionary words.

The password setting below appears in the password policy tab.  I think it is the culprit.  Does anyone know how I can disable it?


  • Must not include a common word or commonly used sequence of characters.

I was able to get it to work by changing the password setting to use LDAP.
