Greetings, all.

If you’re in the Detroit area tomorrow and on Feb 15, you are invited to hear guest remarks from three of Michigan’s finest leaders and professionals. They will be speaking at Central United Methodist Church in Detroit during services from 10:30-11:30am.

Here’s a summary from Rev. Paul Perez:

Black History Month at Central

This Sunday we begin our month-long celebration of Black History month. This year’s theme for our worship services is “Black Resiliency.” Thanks to our planning team — Khari Brown, Helen Monroe, Inez Torbert, and Karen Tyler-Ruiz!

Sunday, February 1 — guest speaker Malik Yakini, Detroit People’s Food Co-op (DPFC). First Sunday Fellowship: meal catered by DPFC and table conversation inspired Black History month

Sunday Feb 15 — guest speakers: Mark Fancher, human rights attorney, and Lorray Brown, Executive Director of Michigan Statewide Advocacy Services.
