Subject: [DCOH Announcements] one more action...
To: Christine Sauve <csa...@michiganimmigrant.org>

NOTE: See passage regarding MDOT helping ICE /CBP. This is Whitmer trying be on Trump's good side like the Selfrige show and her spoken agenda to support High-Tech and "defense" military contractors as job creators.

Thanks to everyone for turning out for the recent rallies in Southfield and Romulus, and for contacting state senators to oppose SB 617-620 authorizing mobile driver's licenses.

We have one more action alert to share this week, regarding MDOT's approval of ALPR cameras for CBP on state land.

See below and please share with your networks!

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) approved placement of Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on state land in Michigan. CBP then contacts local law enforcement to make traffic stops that lead to CBP arrests.

  • Contact the MDOT Director to demand that the agreement be rescinded:

  • “Hi, my name is [First Name Last Name], and I am a resident of [City/Township]. I am calling to express my objection to the approval of ALPR cameras for Customs and Border Protection on state land. This agreement raises privacy and security concerns for MI residents, directs state and local resources for federal immigration enforcement, and leads to further separation of Michigan families. I urge you to rescind MDOT’s agreement with CBP. Thank you.”
