Dancing!

Hey folks, 

So, this event is not exactly a singing event that I want to invite you all to, but...dancing to music! Does that count? It involves music and most likely singing along to Michael Jackson! Maggie and I are planning to go to the "Laid Out Gay Dance Party" at Holocene (1001 SE Morrison) next Thursday, August 29, from 9pm on, if anyone wants to join us and shake all the crazies out before school starts back up again. Holocene is really fun, but here's your fair warning that it gets really crowded later on (from 11 on), so get there early if you plan to go. Apparently we're all having busy summers! Don't forget to stop and sing once in a while. ;D We haven't had much luck circling up at Sellwood Riverfront Park.  Shall we find other times/places?

Here's my first suggestion: I am inviting members of PVSong Circle, as well as the Portland Peace Choir and the Portland Waldorf School Community Choir, to gather for the opening night of the Washington Park Summer Festival.  The Portland Gay Mens' Chorus will be kicking off the 10 day festival and it should be a great show.

I'll arrive early (around 1pm) to lay down some blankets.  Let me know if you'd like to join us and will be arriving after 3pm - I'll hold some space for you. We'll sing around 4:00 until the concert begins at 6.  Bring food/drink to share if you're so inclined.

If you have ideas for other times/places to meet let me know or send something to the group.
