Hey everyone,

I'm Rohan, a 3rd year CS undergrad looking to contribute to pvlib through GSoC 2026.

I have been exploring the codebase for a while now and have made a few contributions so far:

I'm particularly interested in the Benchmarking and Profiling project and would love to put together a proposal for it. I would also love to hear from the mentors about any specific priorities or expectations you have for this project to ensure my proposal is as strong as possible.

To all interested GSoC candidates, please reach out to a mentor before posting in the Google Group (emails are listed on our GitHub GSoC page).

This will let us have a short dialogue to see if there's a fit with pvlib, and discuss the initial project idea before getting feedback from the Google Group.
