The maintainers are pleased to announce the v0.12.0 release of pvlib python.  This release is the product of contributions from 18 people!

v0.12.0 Highlights:
* Several functions deprecated in previous releases are now removed
* The package distribution files are now much smaller, resulting in faster and more compact installations
* Many small bugfixes and improvements
