Greetings,

It appears that Nominal Module Operating Temperature (NMOT) was removed from IEC 61215:2021.

AFAICT, IEC 61853-2 ed. 1 says that it relies on the latest edition of IEC 61215 for procedures concerning NMOT.

I’m wondering if anyone knows if there is a new strategy for NMOT unfolding in the IEC standards (perhaps even its replacement)?

- NMOT is described in IEC 61853-2 (draft in progress).
- NMOT has been removed from IEC 61215 series (draft of revision in
progress). See explanation in IEC 61215-1.
- IEC 61215 series (draft of revision in progress) assumes a P98
design operating temperature of 70 degC and encourages testing to
higher P98 values if needed, referring to IEC TS 63126.
