My name is Muien, and I’m a student planning to apply for GSoC 2026 with interest in contributing to pvlib-python.

I’ve been actively contributing to Python-based open-source projects, working on bug fixes, performance improvements, and writing tests to ensure CI stability. I’m comfortable navigating large scientific codebases, reproducing issues, and submitting well-scoped pull requests with proper test coverage.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be exploring the pvlib repository, running the test suite locally, and starting with small but meaningful contributions—particularly around performance, numerical correctness, and test improvements.

Looking forward to contributing and learning from the community.
