Hi everyone,
I'm excited to announce that my GSoC proposal has been accepted!

During this program I will be opening pull requests (and issues in some cases) ranging a variety of topics:

I expect to add gallery examples for most of them.

Everyone's feedback is welcome.
Regarding PAR, I'd like to hear the opinion of users and maintainers on including agrivoltaic modelling in the repo. It may be a bit out-of-scope for pvlib, but it would also promote this branch of pv modelling (precisely, some days ago <ecem.onen (at) community.unipa.it> asked about it). If you agree on that, would you rather see a new submodule (pvlib.par / pvlib.agrivoltaic[s]) or add the models to existing submodules?

Best,
Echedey.

Thanks Mark.

Unluckily I think students attending workshops is not backed by my university, so I won't be there.

I will be pleased to receive your reviews :)

Hi Echedey,

Congrats on having your proposal accepted! Sounds like some good functionality to be added.

I’m happy to be a reviewer of your PRs. I also have some spectral correction routines and such in PVfit that would probably be helpful for both of us to compare computations using each codebase.

I would also be interested in learning more about agrivoltaics. A little while ago I was asking the pvlib Google Groups about irradiance nonuniformity for bifacials (esp. for agrivoltaics).

Will you be at the PVPMC workshop next week in SLC?
