Dear Mentors,

I hope you are doing well.

I am Ayush, a second-year undergraduate student in Computer Science. While exploring potential GSoC projects, I came across the project "Add to the pvlib example gallery," and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute.

I have already resolved some issues (Issue #2383, Issue #2377) and am eager to continue contributing. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and mentorship as I work towards making meaningful contributions to the project.

Thank you for your interest in pvlib! Just a general heads up: we are unlikely to accept GSoC proposals from applicants without a background in solar energy, as it will be hard to contribute to a specialized project like pvlib without that background, and also our main goal in GSoC is in recruiting long-term contributors.
